This course's assessments. "Link to tool" opens the assessment site's
picker in a new tab (deep linking). This page updates by itself the moment the link
completes. "Unlink" hides an assessment from students and the gradebook without
deleting anything — scores are kept, and "Restore link" undoes it.

Gradebook setup
How this course turns scores into a grade: weighted categories
(Homework 20%, Exams 50%…), drop-lowest, letter grades, and items you mark
yourself alongside the linked assessments. Scores themselves always arrive
from the assessment site — this page only decides what they add up to.

Course settings
These belong to this course alone. The look every other course
follows, and the wiring between this site and the assessment site, are under

This course on the assessment site
Every course here connects to its own course over
there — the assessment site keeps one gradebook column per assessment per course, so
two courses sharing one over there would fight over the same column.
Connect on Edge makes that connection up front, no assessment
needed: the assessment site opens in a new tab and, the first time, asks which of
your courses over there this one becomes (pick an existing course or copy
one). That choice is permanent for this course. Once connected, the button opens
that course's inbox — and the assessment site reports back which course it is, so
the line below can name it.
Courses
Every course on this install, the original one included. Each has its
own roster, assessments, gradebook, and its own connection on the assessment site.
Open takes you into a course — everything that belongs to it is
inside. Settings goes straight to its code, term, theme, and its
connection. Students in more than one course get a switcher in their page header.
Archive ends a course without deleting anything: student launches
are refused, its pages say the course is over, and every score stays put — students
can still read their own. Restore undoes it.

Site theme
This is the whole site, not one course. It is the look
of the sign-in page, these tools, and every course that has not picked a theme of its
own. Picking from the list previews it on this page only; Save applies
it to every open page — students' too, live, no refresh.
Want one course to look different from the rest? Its own theme lives
with the rest of that course's settings.
